THE PROBLEM: A business with thousands of daily sales transactions from multiple sources needed real-time data dashboards and visualizations to help manage locations across the east coast.

OUR SOLUTION: Designed a data warehouse in AWS that pulled data from POS systems, third-party systems, and a custom online ordering platform. Data was retrieved through API calls, an SFTP process to receive data files, and an email scraping program. Historical data was formatted and migrated into the data warehouse. Connected Google Data Studio to the data warehouse and created permission based dashboards for company leadership and store managers.

END RESULT: Store managers are able to view sales data in real-time and year-over-year to predict staffing and ordering needs. Company leadership are able to make decisions around location and product profitability, as well as identify high performing store managers.

THE PROBLEM: A non-profit organization wanted to integrate their software programs to reduce the admin capacity needed to maintain good member and donor information across systems.

OUR SOLUTION: Identified the services the organization used and the workflows for capturing data. Integrated Salesforce (CRM tool) with MailChimp (email tool) to automatically update communication history and opt-out notes between the two systems. Integrated DonorBox a fundraising tool to automatically track donation history and setup recurring donation records. Connected Wordpress website with DonorBox to allow website visitors to donate. Installed Duplicate Check in Salesforce to identify any duplicate member or donor records to ensure better data integrity.

END RESULT: The organization dramatically reduced the amount of manual data entry required by staff, freeing their time to focus on their mission. By using native integrations, the organization could maintain these systems without hiring a full-time IT employee.

THE PROBLEM: Seven small business were acquired by a private-equity firm and subsequently merged into a single organization. The businesses needed to migrate from their previously used accounting systems into a shared system that integrated with their new project management system. Migrating data into the new system also required migrating details from 10,000+ open invoices.

OUR SOLUTION: Quickbooks Online was selected as a tool that would integrate with the existing project management system. After working with each of the original businesses a standardized chart of accounts, client naming convention and vendor naming convention was established. Accounting staff was provided training and timeline information before launching the new software. After going-live staff received documentation, training videos, and on-call support tools to help support a smooth transition.

END RESULT: The accounting team and business leadership were able to view reports by individual business and rollups across all companies. As each original business had overlapping clients, collection efforts could be streamlined.

THE PROBLEM: A business required the complete overhaul of their sales, project management and accounting workflows in a very short period of time. These changes would affect 200+ employees at the company across 10+ teams.

OUR SOLUTION: Created online documentation tools with table of contents and links to facilitate quickly finding steps for a new process. All teams were given custom single-page reference tools to help with specific tasks. 1-2 minute training videos were created for specific tasks. All teams were given an overview of how each system or task relates to others to help understand how their role affects or is affected by other roles in the workflow.

END RESULT: High rate of adoption of the new workflow and less support capacity required for common questions. The adoption of the new workflow also increased the level of data integrity across departments.

THE PROBLEM: A company was moving into a new office space and needed all IT hardware setup.

OUR SOLUTION: Ethernet lines were run to connect all workspaces. A cabinet was installed with a patch panel and Ubiquity networking equipment. Conference room computers setup with monitors, cameras and speakers. Wireless access points and printers connected.

END RESULT: Employees were able to move into their new office, plug their laptops in and immediately start working. Clean cable management allowed the office to maintain its clean aesthetic. Temperature and network monitoring along with a second internet line were setup to mitigate issues that cause network issues.

THE PROBLEM: Restaurant group needed to follow credit card handling procedures as required by PCI Compliance (Level 2) and create a company culture to protect credit card data.

OUR SOLUTION: Created a PCI Compliance program that protected credit card data on a network level through penetration testing, network scanning, limiting or eliminating storage of card data, and educating headquarters staff to not store credit card information on computers or shared storage spaces. Also established was an audit schedule for credit card readers and network equipment in stores. All store employees have training upon hire and annually on credit card handling procedures.

END RESULT: The company successfully passed all PCI Compliance annual audits (Level 2) and had a fully developed credit card handling and security program in place to move to Level 1, which happens when the number of credit card transactions annually increase.

THE PROBLEM: A custom software-as-a-service (SaaS) product that helps businesses where employees handle hazardous materials meet an OSHA requirement to provide accessible Safety Data Sheets for every product their employees are exposed to at work.

OUR SOLUTION: A MySQL database of commonly used Safety Data Sheets was built using Python scripts to scrape websites. A custom Laravel PHP website with Vue.js components was built for businesses to manage the products that they use online and allow employees to access all Safety Data Sheets through a QR Code that can easily be posted on a job site, in a warehouse, or in a company vehical.

END RESULT: Reducing the time spent finding and printing the necessary Safety Data Sheets and updating physical binders in several different locations.
